the longest day is stretched today, and tomorrow we begin our trek forward into short days and crispy leaves and fall coats just the same. but we shall not jump the gun for everything has just begun, and as the summer sun dances along skin.. it's heat shall ricochet back into the sky. warming the nights and cooling our eyes. splashing into elegant parties. heels as tall as swaying buildings and people will laugh aloud and that laughter will reach the clouds and forever hold our summer there. moving timelessly into beautiful scenes i shall take you with me and we shall just be. splash into my life like a cannonball and sip frozen cream soda until we fall. . allow the summer breeze to catch us in it's tenacles and as the hint of summer rest perfectly in your smile, you will always warm me. summer without you would be so cold. winter without you would just be colder.
